Herman Miller, Inc. is a founding member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and helped formulate LEED Certification guidelines.
In keeping with Herman Miller’s philosophy, Workplace Resource has created its very own Workplace Green Council focused on environmental stewardship. The Workplace Green Council is an employee led group whose passion and dedication to environmental issues keeps the organization committed to being Green.
The Guiding Principals that govern the actions of the Green Council are:
- Support local and national organizations like USGBC, who promote green building practices within our communities.
- Offer product and design solutions that support the spirit of environmental advocacy, inclusive of LEED projects.
- Lead by example, being green begins with us to reduce, reuse, recycle and continuously improve the way we live, work and play.
- Educate by participation in events like Green Day fairs.
